The City of Vancouver has selected Mayer/Reed to lead the design of a new community park in east Vancouver. The 14-acre forested parcel sits at the northeast corner of the Vancouver Innovation Center (VIC), a 179-acre planned mixed-use development. In addition to protecting the existing mature trees, the new park will create welcoming, inclusive spaces for people of all ages to rediscover and connect to nature. Public engagement is underway, and we’re excited to work with the community to help shape the future park.
