Mayer/Reed led design and construction documentation for a new 5.66-acre park within a racially and culturally diverse residential neighborhood. Through a public engagement process, the firm developed three options for incorporating access and desired programmatic elements including a playground, play fields, splash pad, community garden, picnic and gathering areas and walking paths. The resulting design features a central paseo connecting to the adjacent school. We collaborated with an artist to integrate art that reflects the multi-cultural community.
