Mayer/Reed designed Sofia Park as a central gathering place in Villebois, a 540-acre mixed-use planned community. A reservable shelter with a fireplace, restroom and activity space overlooks a pond featuring flowering aquatic plants and fountain. A children’s play area and generous lawn are set into a hillside close to an adventure environment composed of a rocky stormwater swale planted with hardy native plants. On summer evenings, the park hosts vendors, music and activities during the weekly Wilsonville Farmer’s Market.
