The $22.3 million Providence Child Center addition includes a 32,000 sf medical facility and 9.5 level parking structure. The Child Center houses the Center for Medically Fragile Children on the first floor and a daycare facility on the lower level.
Mayer/Reed worked closely with the architectural team to develop a new entry, a secured children’s play area for the day care center and a courtyard for the Center for Medically Fragile Children. Water features and plantings provide visual, olfactory, tactile and auditory sources of stimulus for resident special needs children and their families.
