Inspired by a 2,000-year-old Chinese tradition of art, architecture, design and nature in harmony; the Lan Su Chinese Garden is a hidden treasure. Protected by the garden walls, the oasis within was difficult to find twelve years after opening.
Mayer/Reed surveyed existing conditions and provided recommendations to improve visibility to both pedestrians and vehicular traffic. Garden identity signs were designed for the entry, sign clutter was reduced and monitors were installed to provide ticketing, garden orientation and event information.
