Landscape Architect / Urban Designer
Experience: 10 years minimum
Position: Full Time in Portland, Oregon, hybrid schedule optionMayer/Reed has an opportunity for an experienced, licensed landscape architect / urban designer to assist with and lead design projects within a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment. You will oversee and manage projects from conceptual design through construction documentation with a keen eye toward quality design considerations and user experience. Responsibilities include development of site analysis and programming, concept design development, illustrative graphics, client and stakeholder presentations and preparation of land use review packages. Project management tasks include overseeing scopes, budgets and schedules. Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills are highly valued. There will also be opportunities to support business development, assisting with proposal writing and development of scope and fees for design efforts. Your portfolio should include examples from planning and concept design development through final construction, demonstrating the preparation of detailed construction plans and specifications, and design services during construction. Please demonstrate experience for a range of project types including urban public open spaces, active transportation related work, and parks and recreation. The position requires a bachelor or master’s degree from an accredited landscape architecture program and proficiency in Autodesk applications, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and other digital design and documentation software.
